i will have to say that during my Senior year i was introduced to many new things and i believe that blogging in your class has proven to be one of the new things that i have learned and have a basic understanding about now ... before we did this in your class i thought that blogging was only for Oprah and stay at home moms but now i have realized that blogging is a skill that in today's society it is very good to have if one is to stay up to date and learn about topics but more importantly related to the 1st amendment when we talk about free speech and getting different opinion of issues circulated around the world at a high rate of speed !

Joran Van-der-slot Confesion

Van-der-slot vust recintly confessed to murdering and robing a girl in peru after a night at the cassino they were said to go back to his hotel room were joran robed and killed her. he said he stole 850 solies peruvian currency and a few credicards along with personal identification. but there are many skeptics to his confesion some so say that after natalie holaways disaperince 5 years ago in aruba that van-der-slot has been a suspect for how canm they trust this confesion becuase he is said to have told many lies and misslead police before in that investigation.he is currently being held in castro castro peru most highist leval prison.

i belive this is a story about the new evidence and police are trying to use this crime in peru to hopefully convict him of murder and hopfully find new evedince to link him to killing natalie holiway. i also belive this story is running on the air so much to help distract the american public away from news about the massive oil leak in the gulf becuase the new on that story hasent changed and reporters need new headlines!

now that high school is ending and it is time for me to move on and attend college, there have been many things over the years that i have collected or stashed away and let get dis organized inside my house for instance who knows where all my Cd's are form 10 years ago or do i really fit in all my clothing that i have. basically i have made a relay big ta do list and there are all sorts of things i have been doing with all my free time to make my transition to college in my family smoother !... and also have a big ta do list for myself is a great way to help keep me out of trouble and productive !

lost teenage sailor found

i read an ariticle about a teen age girl form californina who was sailing around the world on her own and a storm hit her boat and she was presumed to be in a deep trouble and the closest rescure was of 40 hours away ! the girl is sixteen years old . they foudn out she was ok when a plain flew over head and she radiod and stated she was in ok condition !

i find this stroy very interesting becaus i have been sailing before and i know how great of a thing that can be ... some day i would love to sail around the world in a sail boat i belive that would be the coolest challange to undertake i am glad that she was found alive and she is doing well after this storm hit they say there is about 20 hours untill she will be picked up by a fishing vessal.

U.S. military officers among dead in Kabul attacks

3 days ago in kabul affganistan there was a suicide bombing that was commited by the taliban against a US / NATO convoy in the atact 3 high ranking us Army officers were killed and 2 other us soilders were killed along with one canadian soilder and about 10 other afganni civilans were killed and about 45 were injurd. this atact that was commited by the taliban destroed 5 US military vehicles and 13 afgani civilian vehicles one of which was a bus filled wiht civialns.

this atact to me is another statitisik that is over looked bye many people and should be reconized that it is not just NATO and US MILITARY forces that are dieing its also and more soo the afganni civilans and taliban that are increaseing the death toll when how many lives will it take for people to notice and care about doing something about this issue . wat is disturbing to me is the fact that the taliban has shifted its attacks more and more to target US and NATO forces in urban settetings which in a war of this kind i belive that the afgannii civilans shoudl not have to live with this constant threat of the taliban blowing them up

sienor year swim team

well this year was my last year on the HHS swim team and it has been soo much funn over the past few years. it ended up that i got voted as a team captian for this season so that was pretty cool. but if i was to remember anything about the swimm team it would have to be my best memorys at the meets and at pasta partys on thursdays every thursday we would go to a swimmers house and have a pasta party were the team would jsut chill and that was allways a great get away from the fast pase of school in that time of the year. my other fond memory was when we when to districks and all the guys shaved there legs to go fast in our speedos but when i shaved my legs i ended up not going high enoghf and had a little delelema when i took my shorts of and well u can imagin the rest . haha but after the districs we ended up making it to states and that was great down in VA beach were we whent swimming in the realy cold ocean in feburary that was neat also soo thats sienor year swimm team !

mr. stroad im very sorry that you were not able to attend this years sienor prom as a danincg chaperrone? i will say if you were in my prom group you would have eaten a wonderfull meal of shisk cabob and an assortment of difretn food i could not pernounce at callie harrmens house . after that we all went to take picutres and some of ur students all grouped up and took a picture of jsut mr. strouds class and you students it was nice then the dancing wow WOW you should have seen all of the clean dancing i did not see one bit of grinding rumping frumping gyrating or disco but the words fun did apply to mostly every one at the prom .. lastly the dance ended diffrantly i would have suspeced a slow dance song at the end of the prom but nope just a rapidap hip hopin song soo that was pretty lame . see u in class hope u liekd the anticdot of my prom ezxperince io hope that u dnt want to knwo the rest of the story ...

South Korea fires warning shots at North Korea boats

last night in on the maritime border of south and north korea a north korean navel patrol boats two of them sailed past the boarder and infultrated about 1.2 miles or 2 kilomerters into south korean waters. a south korean naval vessel sailed out to intersecp the 2 patrol boats. the south korean vessel fired two warning shots before the north korean patrol baots turned about and and sail up north back to north korean waters .

this is an important issue that i think can sometimes get over looked but the world . becuase history shows us that small events like the above are known to spark international conflit and mass war soo i belive it is very importnat to look carfully at this incident and adress is properly tpo hopefully prevetn a cponflit in the futer.

OPINON. in my view i realy due understand the fact that its not right to kill civilans but we are in a WAR not a shooting range if we are to acomplish the mission in a timely manner and have to take down the terrist then i belive that there are nessiasay tradigydys that must take place i belive that if disragarding some engagement rules would endager civilians but impact the goal of get the terroist and taliban then take those risk becuase i know if i was a civilian and i knew that the rules of engagment said they weill shoot me if i am around a terroist well then i would try as best a s i could and move and stay way .. no im not the best informed about the afgani peoples situation and if they could move and espape or they have family members who are in the talliban but those are choices that they need to make if the value there personal life and not trying to get killed by the americans.

hot dogs?? what a killer hot dog???

sumary- the editorial is about virgianas plan to repeal the one gun a mounth law that says that virginaians can only buy one gun amounths the auther is in favor of the law being repealed becuase they think that law inhibits and negitivly effects the law abiding citizens who want to buy firearms there are other states who are also repealing this law due to the fact that they see it is as a unjust way to treat law abiding citzens who want to buy guns

Opionion - i due agree with this auther becuase of the fact that i think that the one gun amonth buying law has no real effect of reducing crime becuase if i were a crimainal i would be smarter than to buy a gun at a guin shop and i would be networking and buying a gun off the street were it would be untracable .. soo with that in imnd a rule regulateing the numebr of guns a law abiding citizen can buy in a mounth has now realy corilation with crime rates

3 the cartoon depitcs a single aid rescure person standing with his legs and arms all being pulled in defrant directions on top a pile of rublle and the hatiains people are pulling him and strtching him out in difrant directions the hations are all crying and they are all pointing at difrant situations that need emidiate help.

4 i think this cartoon was drawn to depict the dier situations down in hati after the earth quake becuase there is not enoghf aid that has been sent down and there rescue efforts are only as usefull as they can be and there is way to much to handle down there.

5 i personaly belvie its a horrible situation to be involved in both as a hatition and a resucer worrker becuase there are very hard desicions to make and who to save and who to let die it is very sad to think about how much has been lost just in the past few days

this has been such a great year soo far even though it is almost half way complete i have been enjoying it every step of the way. it is realy great to see all my peers and talking with them about what there plans for there life after school might be its exiting. i also realy enjoy fridays the 5 minute early dismisail it is great walking the halls and saying hello to everyone teachers and students and lokking forward im am ready to go to college and build new relation ships with people and so that some day i will be able to walk the halls and shoot the breeze with many people there too.

2010 where is the usa going

i belive that the united states is still in a rescesion. it will take much longer than just 2009 and 2010 to fully recoveer and escape from the economic crisis. we are soo deep in too the failing market that experts have stated that ther will still be the same figure of unemployment number mabye iven more in 2010. the war on terrrism i thikn it will get escalate in affganistan and only a small amount will be pulled out of iraq. also we may send military personal in to yemen to adress they recent terrism atempt . also obbama is a mediocer man when it comes to kepping his promiss soo far but thats politics ...
