my favorit holiday is 4rth of july ... or independence day ... it is becuase i realy enjoy watching fire works and eating the basicaly the some of the first round of sweet corn of the summer . the fireworks are such a great thing that bring the comunity and neighbborss together i also love this day becasue when u go around on that day and days befor u can realy sents the american spirt and patritismn that this nation has and i love that feeling and i enjoy celibrating it with good people and family and friends !!!

4 i think this cartoon deals wiht the challenge for the senate to come to an agreement to pass the health care bill before chirmass or the holiday break. but when the democrats are just debvating the idea of just saying well liets just plug it in and leaving the lights represents the idai that the democrats are calling it quits and givving up rather than untagnleing the ligths and fixing the problems wihtthe health care before the break

i bevleve that the holidays are awonderfull time for thet peopel of the world to rejoice . and have a great time celibrating the religions and the holiday that are important to the induviduals them selfs. i think it is apropritet for holiday display to be presentied in a public fashion. i think this becuase if people realy think that their relgion trump others the are probubley forgeting the core values of thier own religuion that most of the time say u should treat other people the way you would liek to be treated. so if u dont want ur realigus display vandilzed i would respect other peoples displays even if they are not on privet property.i think it is perfeclty ly leagle to display religuse simbles in public .. yyou knwo this is a religusely free nation " the first ammendment" .

health care bill status

currently the bill that has been stuburnly debated over the past few months has a chance to be passed in the senate before christmas break. the house has passed the version of the bill and now the senate is pushing forward and tring to pass there own version of the bill. the senate first voted on weather or not to consider the bill at all . the senaate has passed the first vote on whetere or not to vote . so now if the senate passeds ther version of the bill both house will inturn have to meet and square away the details of the bill.

some of the the constraints of the bill are that the republicans oposse funding abortion while the democrats feel the need to fund abortion. another issue being debated is the fact that denocrats whant illigale alians to have coverage whill the repulibacnas disagree.
the option of the fedral goveerment makeing a public option on the bill ... i hope it gets passes in a timely manner so my children will have affordable heath care !

principal qualites

well now that the new princiaple has already been anounced its hard to answer this question but i will pretend that the new principle has not been anocuced and say the qualitys and charictersistcs the person i think should have.

i belive that first and foremost the principle shoudl be a people person . becuase when the princiapl is walking around the school and he know and says hi to every one staff and students it give this the school a more homey and safe atmispher to it and i belive that would be a nice aspect to add to herndon.


also i belive the principle should be a leader as well as a manager.. this is becuese for the school to grow both in its operrations and standards of operations the prinmciple shoudl be well versed in the maniging of the school but also he needs to be a leader so that way the people he works along side with will grow as people and some day beable to take and fill postions in the school system to there fullist abilitys .

the principle shoudl also be willing to go the extra mile for the school and its student body , i belive his goals should be focusd primarily on the students and facaluty and his prime concern should be geting all the students to graduate and helping them grow and become succesefull in life.

letter grade dealing with health care
i would give obama's a B this is becuase even thought health care is such a huge issue he is the first notable president to to actiivly push for a change that will hopefully impact our geniration in a positive way for provide health care opertnitys for the less fortunite

on the topic of dealing with the economic downturn i would give obamma a B as well the reason not a full A is becuase it will be a slow process to have our econnomy recover and even though we have pulle our selves out of the whole a hole year worth so far we have long way to go and he had promises change woul dhappen much faster than it has and there are millions who have not felt the impact of anny of his policys yet

I belive that a current political issue is the right to vote being at age 18. in our current society ten years ago a 15 year old would not know anything about a ongoing election. but now with the socital push for children to growup faster and faster i belive a 15 year old would be able to figure out who they thougth was the best canidatet and vote unbiased. with all the comunications systems we have today it is would be a normal progresion to lower the voteing age.
